My dear, he is a wonderful treat in store for you! John D MacDonald's detective (MacDonald is the author of Cape Fear). The books are old - the last one was written around 85 - but I love em.

They are a little bit "dime store disposable" but not, to me trashy! I thoroughly recommend. McGee lives on a boat, has no fear, and is just incredibly sexy and lovable at the same time, as well as being just a *bit* scary.... *woof*

BTW I remembered the other rec/question I had for you - Have you read Archie McNally? (He's the detective not the author - by Lawrence Sanders, and there are some new ones by Victor Lardo). Those are set in Palm Beach.

Ah, sorry! I have heaps and heaps of unanswered comments *head/desk* I'm a bad LJ user XD

I don't know these authors *writes down their names* Are the Archie McNally books good?

I remember that I used to be a huge fan of Edgar Wallace. He didn't write any series but boy, his books read like Harlequin novels XD

Most unacceptable! I bet you are having a *life* aren't you??? LOL :)

I dont mind if you answer my yapping or not, but I DO think you should meet Archie cos he's fab. I'll write you a proper review in the next week sometime :)

Dick Francis is my *harlequin* mystery writer. To me Travis has a bit more depth! *woof*
