I love this story! It is AMAZING. I don't think my parents bothered explaining fireworks to me; they must have just taken me to a show, saw fireworks, and then informed young!me, "See, fireworks."

Paint splattered skies would be pretty, yes, I think so! I was beyond crushed that fireworks were not paint. It was actually quite harmful.
