W.T.F.??? Giving us an established Gris/Sara relationship in the *last* scene of the *last* episode, with no buildup whatsoever?
They did what? I admit that I'm somewhat prejudiced, because Em Brunson made me want to see Gil/Nick (which just isn't there, mostly, but it should be, damn it), and what I do see is Catherine/Gil (I'm really fond of that pairing, actually, even though it's not slash. I don't even know why.), and Sarah/Gil just doesn't work for me at all. Anyway, I haven't seen the newest seasons yet, but if they go from the subtext as it is in the earlier seasons to sudden established-relationship-ness, which it sounds like they did, that would be... completely ridiculous.
Don't these people get that it's the build-up to the relationship and the moment where they get together that people want to see -- while the actual relationship tends to be totally anti-climatic and much less interesting? There's a reason ninety percent of slash are first-time stories. Professional screenplay authors should know about that reason. (

Well, I've been a total Gris/Sara shipper from the start. a) I'm not usually a slasher, as you know, and b) I *hate* Catherine with a vengeance. So basically, I had no other choice. ;P
Gris is just great, I love his character. So much denial, so geeky. And since I didn't like Catherine, who else (female) was there to pair him up with?
Although, I admit I'm kind of partial to Gris/Greg, too. Nick and Warrick do nothing for me, either.
I agree about the canon chemistry between Gris and Catherine, though. There's this big long-friendship vibe which regularly makes me despair for Sara. :)
but if they go from the subtext as it is in the earlier seasons to sudden established-relationship-ness, which it sounds like they didThey totally did. There was *nothing* even remotely resembling a hint in any season six episode. Not even in the last one. Except for that last scene, where he's in her bedroom and she's half naked and they talk

Hee. That's the way I feel about Sara. Why do you hate her?
I don't know whether to scrub my eyes out or look closer.
Me too. *g* This thing I have for Gris is really weird -- on the one hand, I'm totally attracted to him, on the other, he's a pudgy fifty years old man. He could be my grandfather. And yet... so smart and geeky and fun.
There was *nothing* even remotely resembling a hint in any season six episode. Not even in the last one. Except for that last scene, where he's in her bedroom and she's half naked and they talk like an old couple.
*headdesk* That's... spectacularly stupid. Even for CSI.
