Huh. I've never seen this feature. But I use the old layout as well when on my computer and use the mobile friendly version on my phone the most.

I agree that it has no place here.

Yeah, I know nobody who likes it. Since I don't have to see it in my layout, I'm not too bothered, either. ;)

I only ever see these features in the news community since I refuse to switch to the new style. Being able to like comments would make sense to me, but this doesn't. This isn't facebook or tumblr, I love that you're able to have a proper conversation here.

Yes, weighing in on a discussion without having to retype arguments sounds like a worthwhile use of the feature.
