The new icon landcomm theiconthrone is turning out to be the most amazing fun. The people are great, and talking to each other, and every single challenge so far has been really inspiring to me. This set is for the second big challenge: "I'm kind of a big deal". It's about finding things that represent you and making icons of those.

The shippy icons are just so bold and ballsy and wacky! I love the whimsical compositions, especially in 1 and 2. The sharpening of the figures and mixture of gigantic and tiny text is very effectively eye-catching! Loving the text, lighting, and soft yellow coloring in the Vanilla icon! 14 is so cool and brassy. I like how the golden figures pop out against the burnished magenta. You can still see what's in the backdrop without being distracted or overwhelmed! :D

I'm starting to like bold, ballsy and wacky as a compliment. The icons are that, even though I didn't notice when I made them. I like the composition in 1, too, although I can hardly ever pull it off. I tried more complex ones all month and it just wasn't happening. (ugh don't remind me of my t-r set. I'm still exactly as half done as two weeks ago and nothing works...)

Thank you! It's the only stock one that really made me think I wanna do something with this instead of just cropping and be done with it. I still wonder whether I should have left out the mouth, though. It's somehow not pastel enough and kinda distracting.

The same things also look great on 17. The style and texture use on 4 is also very nice.
