I hate police procedurals. But Lucifer as a character is fun. They'll have to mix it up pretty heavily if they want to keep me interested despite being a procedural. So far, I don't think they have that creative potential - the setup felt a bit pedestrian in places - but the humor was so silly, I will definitely give them the benefit of the doubt.
However, on the other hand, your icon looks fantastic! Love the crop, and the flat, matte colouring and love the texture use! :)
Thank you! The animated textures are so great, I knew I had to use the fire one for Lucifer.
I made a few more, but I think I'm going to enter those into paintedpixels, which reopened this month. :D
That's what I was thinking. Like it looked fun and all, but they could have done away with the procedural bit, which seemed a little unnecessary in the trailer itself. Let's see how it does anyway. I think they've been promoting it for a long time.
Oooh, I didnt know it re-opened. Will check it out and look out for your icons! :)
Yeah, it's funny, I still had notification for its info posts turned on, because I participated a few times in 2014 (and omg those icons are so bad!). Otherwise I never find out these things. :D
I posted now, but this month's theme wasn't really my style. Muted and pastoral... it was a challenge. *G*
That actually sounds exactly like my cup of tea, although depending on how evil they make Lucifer later, I don't know if he'll end up too much of a "bad boy" for me. Would definitely watch an ep or two with you! Hopefully next Sunday. (If real life ever leaves me in peace. Go away, real life!)

Yeah, I don't know either. He does kind of get off on punishing people, and I know you're sensitive when it comes to torture. For now it was okay for me, especially since he's non-human, and I think this is supposed to be the start of his journey, not an endorsement of his methods.
I'm pretty confident that they're going to make him more good than evil - they say he's changing, and his angelic brother is afraid that the balance between good and evil is at stake because he's becoming "too good". I'm hoping that's where they're going with it.
(Not that it's realistic or possible to apply human ethics to the devil, but I have a feeling that's what's going to happen?)
I'm actually not very sensitive when it's bad(-ish) guys or vigilantes doing it, I'm just 100 % never okay with it when it's done by police or law enforcement characters. Which does not apply to the devil. ;)

It's very, very silly but it's my sort of silly and Lucifer is the type of character that appeals to me.

Me, too. He fits exactly into that mold - like Snape, or Spike, or Sherlock, to an extent. But slightly different and thus new again.
