I'm so glad for them to have some kind of a happy ending! And living off in the woods near Jeb and Moura is not too bad, it's really the best for them. So NOT impressed with DG and the Queen not figuring it out, and also with Raw for not staying courageous in this matter - I expected him to seek out Ambrose, quietly, and work on it from his side of the matter, and just not tell DG the whole story that she didn't want to know.

Thank you for commenting! Yeah, I think getting them out of there is pretty much the only way Ambrose has a chance at normalizing. He and Azkadellia have too much between them to really be able to survive one another. I think in her own perverse way, Azkadellia really is fond of him, and just can't figure out how to be close to anyone in anything like a healthy way (after all, every single moment of relationship building in her teen and adult life came through this architecture of the witch, of power games, torture, etc). Maybe someday she'll have enough non-witch experience built up to figure out how to be human with other humans, but, until then... off into the country go our boys ( ... )

I'm really so very in love with this story. I recently re-watched Tin Man and it brought back the memories of such good authors that I've been searching certain ones out the last couple of days. These two stories were worth going all the way back in LJ for.

Oh, bless your heart - I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much, and I'm so gratified you left a comment! It's really nice to realize it's still alive out here and that someone can still find and enjoy it after all this time. And it gave me an excuse to come back and take a look at it; I haven't in so long, and it was such a huge part of my life when I was writing it.

It feels a little vain to say, but I actually got caught up in re-reading my epilogue. That felt really good. So thank you so much for that. It's kind of a relief to go back to something I wrote and not regret it!

Maybe I'll sit down and rewatch the series and reread this all one of these days, too. Thanks for the inspiration, and thank you for reading. :)
