Table of Contents "How is it, that a young, unarmed girl in a party dress managed to elude the toughest division in my army?" The Sorceress breezed from behind her desk. She hadn't stood up, which was a good sign.
"She wasn't alone," Zero replied. "She was helped by... Wyatt Cain, one of the Mystic Man's Tin Men." He continued to look her in the eye.
Cains again. "Bring him in," she ordered. Zero had learned his lesson well as he clicked his finger. The men flanking him stepped back and the Mystic Man was wheeled in. "If it isn't the great and terrible 'blah, blah, blah' himself. What are you up to, old man? Huh?"
"A little scent," he sighed back. "A little whiff."
She got up, moving towards him, getting a measure of his condition. "Nah. You don't fool me."
He started to murmur pathetic pleas to her, only stopping to laugh as she provided him opportunity to gaze down her cleavage. She straightened immediately.
"Why did she come to see you? Hmm? What did you give her?" He didn't respond. "Hook him up."
Secretly, Zero was quite enjoying the show the Mystic Man was putting on and wasn't particularly happy when Creepy Bald Guy interrupted. "He's masking!" he complained.
"Lylo see too much!" he cried out.
"Focus, Lylo," The Sorceress advised. "Don't let him sway you." The Mystic Man continued to resist. So CBG zapped him. He slumped, now unconscious and as a result, defenceless.
Lylo, naturally, felt the pain echo through him. "Pain!"
"Where is she?" The Sorceress demanded.
"So much pain," Lylo repeated.
The Sorceress kept herself calm. "Move beyond the pain." After a moment's effort, an image of an ice mountain appeared. "The Northern Island. She's going to see Mummy." She whirled to face Zero. "Get your men together, we're leaving."
He nodded.
