Characters: Wyatt/Adora, and Zero.

It took quite a long time to get Jeb to sleep; he was too excited about having his father back. Every time Wyatt could finally have Adora to himself, Jeb would come bounding around them in a hyperactive state.
Finally, the young lad had worn himself out. Wyatt came from the room after laying Jeb down for the night.
He pulled Adora close to him, unbuckling her belt and letting it fall to the ground. She unbuttoned his shirt and ran her hands over his chest, letting her fingers comb through the soft curls.
She looked around the cabin and sighed. “We can’t stay here can we?”
He shook his head as he unbuttoned her shirt. “We should leave in the morning.”
She nodded and then leaned her head against his chest, feeling the warmth his body provided. She didn’t want this moment to end. She felt a finger under her chin, guiding her head up to look at him. She saw no reassurance on his face and he spoke no words of hope. Like her, he had no idea what the future held for them. Then, his lips touched hers.
In the woods, Zero waited for daylight.
