As we had dinner with Marlene tonight, I learned that she takes her parrots and a llama or two to the hospital to visit patients....a therapeutic llama!
I couldn't believe it. At the dinner table a retired army officer who taught solar energy in the 1980's, before it was fashionable and Marlene who has no air conditioning in a very hot area, and cold area at night, wanting to build a house of straw. My first reaction tied into the last play we saw, "The Big Bad Wolf." But, then we learned that these were bales and were to be treated to make them fire proof. It was interesting. But how about these random assemblages of cruise passengers turning out to be quite interesting. I even saw a man wearing a sweatshirt bearing the name of an aircraft modeling association but I failed to catch up with him.
