Look at you! Didn't know you were still knocking around the halls of LJ. Most of my social stuff is on the Book of Faces or Instagram these days, and I only use LJ very occasionally for more personal stuff.
I clicked on the link; you need to sign up to the New Scientist in order to read the article. Wonder if there is another way to access it.
Hi Braunie - I, too, have migrated over to FB in the main, and of course, writing entirely too much on a medium with a very short attention span. Let's connect on FB for its ease, at least. I probably will write my more ponderous stuff on LJ. I'm "retired" to San Rafael, enjoying the Garden of Eden, though I can't ay that I 'd welcome any more rain. We have a "creek" off our deck which fortunately isn't really a creek but a man made inlet of the Bay, so we have tidal flows and shore birds, in theory, mallards in practice, so far. We love Northern California. I'm still at work dong my little bit for Health Care as a Human Right. Attending two college levels courses, and socially more connected than I've ever been in my life! Hope you are doing well and it was great to hear from a long term (not "old friend"... long term!) See you on FB. I'm Laurence Lewin in San Rafael, CA on FB
What a beautiful place to be. We are in the SC Mountains, and like everyone else, have had entirely too much rain (if you care to look on my FB page you'll see my own coverage there). Glad to hear from you and that you are doing well! Thanks for the invite to the other place...I'm Kathleen Goll-Derstine there.
