Oh my goodness, I don't even have words for how much I love this. The Somalia arc is easily my favorite from NCIS and I can't get enough fic set in that time. I love the change to Mohicans - such a brilliant comparison.

I loved Gibbs' response of "we'll find her again" and the way that line kept coming back into play.

I wish I had more eloquent commentary, but I'll just have to leave you with I adore this and it's already added to my list of favorite fics.

I am so pleased you liked this! I have been genuinely stunned that anyone at all made it through this! I figured I was the only person in the world to find connecting Mohicans with NCIS at all interesting! (Except my mpther. She'd adore this. Not that she knows I write fic. Or what fic is, for that matter.)

And it's TIVA! I don't do TIVA. Only, now I guess I do!

This is truly beautiful. Your comparisons are accurate, and it seems a unique idea as well. The process of healing is sad and hurtful, yet it comes naturally, well-told. It's as if we heal along with Ziva, or Tony, or both, however you prefer to see it. Thank you for sharing such a great story!

Anyway, thank you so much for reading and commenting! I am pleased you thought the comparisons were accurate. I tried not to force them, so I'm glad it came across well to someone who (apparently) has knowledge of both stories. I have no clue where this idea came from, but I'm glad you liked it!

I thought that Somalia resolved itself too quickly in the show - or at least that there where things we never saw. Healing is slow. I'm glad you thought that came through here.
