Title: Yet Shall They Live
Author: tinkerbell99
Characters: Oceanic Six, Ben, others
Word Count: 1720
Spoilers: Through the end of S4
Summary: It begins slowly. There's a face in the crowd, a voice on the phone, a dead man's song playing softly on a broken radio. By the time they're aware, it's already too late. (There's no reason to go back now.)

So tell me, Sayid, do you see them, too? )

I felt like crying at the end but only the fic's cryptic nature and the idea that Ben won held me back. So many lost chances here. Excellent work, especially with the opening and closing scenes.

cryptic I like that word for this. I'm really glad it came across that way. Thanks for reading :-)

Oooh, this is wonderful and so eerie. Your Ben dialogue in that first section is so perfect it gave me chills. And then the way the story progresses, going to each one -- amazing.

That was wonderful. I loved the tone. My favorite section is the one with Sun, but they are all incredible.

That's okay :-)

I'm glad you liked it. One of the things I like about Ben is that no matter what, he is manipulative. It makes him interesting.

Thanks for reading!

This was some really terrific work. The style of this is perfect, at the same time chilling, cryptic and poignant. Each section was a punch to the gut and I loved how it opened and closed with Ben ('course it's always him). The Ben/Sayid exchange at the beginning was something I could totally picture in canon, Aaron's was chilling indeed, Sun's felt really right (and Michael as her ghost was perfect). I don't have words for how good and spot on Jack's was. Hurley's almost made me cry because I had had the suspicion that everyone was dead, though you really kept the ambiguity of it. And Sayid's totally my favorite. You managed to go from chilling to almost happy to shocking in just a few lines and that was just amazing. The last line? Loved it. Though seeing that it was Boone I was probably more happy than anything else and I guess it wasn't exactly a sane reaction ;) I loved it.

Aww, thanks so much! I know I haven't replied to comments for something like a month and a half (sorry) but yours really made me smile.
