dear, have I told you how much I love your writing lately? that is so SO good. I love how you did this, there is a real rhythm in that story, following perfectly the subject of the fic. I love it so much.

After - after the water's run cold and she slouches against the cold tile wall fighting the urge to cross her arms on her chest - You're not offstage, yet, Shannon. Can't you see the lights are still on you?

Oh my... That was absolutely breathtaking. The imagery and the way it flowed with the little allusions to Shannon's childhood and the dance metaphors. So, so perfect.

I've had ballet classes for ten years when I was younger and I could feel it all come back while I read (the toes bleeding, the satin ribbons, aw). That's one of the things that made me sympathize with Shannon, and you played it beautifully here. Great work!

I did the ballet thing years ago, too, and remember all too vividly how much it hurt sometimes! I kind of liked the idea that Shannon was still doing that dance. Thanks so much for your wonderful comments!

Thank you! I was thinking I hadn't written her too often, but between this and the Shannon/Jack and a couple old Shannon/Boone fics, it's starting to add up.

I love Shannon. She's a screwed up, broken little whiny brat and is loads of fun to play with!
