A death in the neighborhood

They closed down my favorite hangout. The place my neighbors and I would go to party, shoot pool or just have a beer. The bar we brought friends to, just so they could experience it.

I feel your pain. OUR favorite "local hangout" was shut down about 5 years ago, and there is still a hole in my heart. They were a combination coffee shop and bar with an attached theater that put on burlesque shows.

That bar was never replaced and the building stands empty to this day. Hopefully you'll have better luck...

They're tearing it down to build apartments and storefronts. I guess there's always the hope that they'll re-occupy the space once it's built but I sincerely doubt it.

Good to know someone shares my pain. Your place sounded pretty awesome too.
