That was gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

You must understand, he said, this is a delicate matter and my rule is still not stable enough for this huge of a change. My father's policy is still strong, he has supporters everywhere. There's nothing I can do.

This is one of the best examples I've ever read of how just how much maturity hurts sometimes. I love that Arthur is wise enough to realise that he cannot change the world overnight, that he wants his people to trust his judgement, and that he knows he must work for that.

For the first time in years, Arthur feels like he's actually done something worthwhile.

I love the idea that Merlin is the catalyst for all this change without actually being there to witness it. Playing around with all the various ways their destinies could play out is always interesting, but I particularly like what you've done here.

Arthur vows to find a way to bring back the part of Merlin he seems to keep killing every time he speaks ARGH. Poor Arthur. I really feel for
