I'm just catching up on LJ after a week, and saw your post. He *might* be ok. We have feral flocks of 2 species of parrot, and a large colony of feral cockatiels here. If the cockatiels can thrive, maybe Pinky will do ok as well.

Did your mom put up flyers or anything? When my Grey escaped years back, I ran an ad and got a call from a lady who found him sitting on her front lawn. Several blocks away. It's a long shot (And I know you've moved, they are moving) but ...

Yeah, they posted flyers and I think put an ad out somewhere, alerting the area. They're still in San Diego for now (Matt is taking his time packing up the Hoard), so hopefully Pinky will find his way back before they leave, if he's able.
