Not Feeling It

I'm not feeling the writer vibe today. I've eked out about 300 words when, by this time, I would have gone beyond my 3000 word goal. I chalk it up to sleeping weirdly and getting up late (7:30). Don't beat yourself up. You DEF deserve a veg-out day after the shit you've been putting in your body and the massive quantities of story you've been producing. Drink lotsa water - get the puff outta yo eyes. I bet its from all that caffeine. Take care of TIN!

Ditto the sentiment of you needing a day off. Every writer takes a breather now and then.

And you don't have to defend "On Writing" to me. It's considered a go to book for a LOT of writers. ME INCLUDED. I think I get as much out of his describing how long it took him to get published (That railroad spike filled with rejection slips is a potent visual) as I do from the actual writing advice .(I have it in hardcover, if that tells you anything.) You might also want to check out his book "Danse Macabre" which was his first writing treatise, mostly focused on writing horror. (Alibris.com has copies for as low as $ 0.99. Just saying.)

And don't feel bad...I haven't read the Gunslinger series either. ::waits for the clanging blow to the skull from gunslingaaahhh as well::
