So I have Orphaeus and Cadmus improvising a song on stage at one point in The Blood Crown. And, being the Method Writer that I am, I was improvising right along with them, writing out what they decided to sing as they sang it. This is what came out. I really love it, and I bet if it were to be made into a song, it'd be awesome as all hell. I especially love the repetition of the hard 'd' sound in the first half. Consonance FTW!

That was Orphaeus trying to be as dangerous as Cadmus, getting into that mad Goth mode I suppose. They were actually singing a song together. I couldn't hear it in my head sadly, but the words came through. I sound like a maniac don't I?

No. I can understand it. I once wrote a song into a short story I was working on. It was essentially just a poem, I suppose. I couldn't fit a melody to it, but I think I kinda get the "not hearing a song, but getting the words" deal.

Anyway, from an analytical standpoint, the hard consonsant sounds typically represent that the writer (or singer, in this case) is angry, so I can get the "mad Goth mode" from it.
