Summary: Yuri fainted. What happened to him?
Takaki immediately release Yamada when he saw Yuri falling. They both rushed towards him but Yamada pushed him away and caught Yuri before he fell. He sat down on his bed with Yuri in his arms. Yuri had his eyes closed but he was still breathing.
Holding him there, Yamada could feel his heat radiating from his body. He touched Yuri's forehead with his hand and retracted it immediately.
"He's burning!"
Yamada turned to Takaki and Takaki immediately rush out of the room, shouting for the others.
JUMP gathered in Yamada's room and checked on Yuri's condition.
"Shouldn't we bring him to the hospital?"
Yabu looked at Keito, who said it calmly.
"Why didn't I think of that?!"
He slapped his forehead and got Hikaru to call a cab.
Yamada carried Yuri out of the room and down to the living room with the others trailing behind.
The cab arrive, enough to sit all 10 of them and they set off to the hospital.
Yamada hugged onto Yuri tight, trying to keep him from losing anymore heat. He was warm all over and Yamada was worried.
"Onegai.. Yuri. Please be fine."
They reached the hospital and Yamada carried him inside. Running to the counter, the other JUMP members asked for a doctor and then when they were told to wait outside, they did.
Some sat and some just stood there, waiting. Yamada was pacing around.
He couldn't keep still.
Why did he faint? Why didn't I notice he was having a fever?
Yamada blamed himself. It was his fault that he didn't notice that Yuri was not feeling well. He didn't know.
Yuto stood in front of him and Yamada stopped in his track, almost bumping into him.
"Yama-chan.."
Yamada looked at Yuto, he didn't know what to say.
He need to see Yuri, to see that he's fine before he could stop worrying.
The door slid open and the doctor came out.
Everyone rushed up to him, Yamada being the first.
The doctor tried to calm them down. They were all worried, throwing questions at him. When they finally stopped asking. He announced the situation.
"According to the preliminary examination, it should be the effects from overwork that caused him to faint. Working too hard, both physically and mentally, and coupled with his recent lack of food and nutrition resulted in him suffering from fatigue and thus collapsing.
In addition, with him suffering a high fever, burning over 40 degrees, it is already more than what the body can take, reaching it’s limit and therefore resulting in a breakdown.
We gave him an IV drip supplement, which would help him. If the fever does not resides, it will be very dangerous.
You are allowed to see him now, but only one at a time. Then as soon as possible, help him with the hospital admission. "
They all thank the doctor and Yabu went away with Inoo, following the nurse to make the necessary arrangements.
"So who's going in?"
The other nurse asked as the doctor went off.
No one answered and they all looked at Yamada who nodded.
The nurse brought him a mask to wear and after disinfecting him, brought him in to the ICU.
"Try not to make too much noise and move him too much."
Yamada nodded and went to sit beside Yuri. The door closed behind him.
The other JUMP members stood outside and watched through the glass window.
He held up Yuri's hand with both his hand and wrapped it around his.
Placing his head against them, he wished. He wished Yuri would be fine and that he would wake up soon.
It's all his fault that this happened.
Why didn't he notice that Yuri wasn't eating his meals properly? He was too involved in his own feelings to take note. It was his fault.
He swore to take care of Yuri and he failed.
Yamada felt like crying. He didn't want this to happen but it did and he couldn't do anything about it. All he could do now is to pray that Yuri would be fine and hope that he would wake up soon.
"Yuri.."
Yamada lifted his head and looked at Yuri. His cheeks were flushed from the high temperature.
He removed one of his hand and moved to touch Yuri's face.
"Get well soon k?"
Yamada softly whispered as he caress Yuri's face.
Yuri would be fine. That's what he assured himself and he hoped he would be.
Maybe, just maybe, he would wake up tomorrow and give him his smile.
Yamada smiled slightly as he thought of Yuri's smile.
Yes, he would be fine.
Gently, he rubbed Yuri's hand with his.
