This morning I said "You too!" to someone who had not said, and in retrospect seemed to have no intention of saying, "Have a nice day."

I think it was "Thanks, here's your change." Or some such.

He probably assumed the "You too" was in reply to the "Thanks" part. :)

Every time someone says, "Have a nice trip", I give them a, "You too!"

I don't know how to stop.
