MEME: Comment to this post, and I will list seven things I want you to talk about. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.

The oh! so gracious and flawless absolutelybatty gave me:

VAL I WANT TO COME TO ITALY AND LIVE OFF PASTA WITH YOU! Actually, your list of carbohydrates is pretty much exactly the same as my list of things I will never stop eating even if I wanted to. BUT ESPECIALLY PASTA <3

I think English is more incisive.
This made me lol, because only just last week the lecturer I have for Advanced Literary Studies had a discussion with the class about how English will see something they like and throw it in, thus making all the "rules" relating to grammar (eg i after e except after c) pretty much void, because there's always an exception. So basically, YES. Which is why it's an absolute bitch to learn and why I'm terrified of teaching Kindy kids because they need to learn almost everything!

HA! You could stay a whole month and we wouldn't eat the same pasta twice! <333

What you say about rules and exceptions is true, but still, English would never be as hard to learn as Italian and Romance languages in general - like Spanish, or French, for example. At least, English verbs are pretty simple to learn, even the irregular ones. Take a look at this: it's the conjugation of 'andare', which means 'to go' and it's irregular. And this is the conjugation of 'mangiare', that is 'to eat', and it's a regular verb.
On the other hand though, English pronunciation is way more difficult to learn, in my opinion. I can understand English quite well, and even write pretty decently, but my pronunciation is still rubbish. xD

LOL! I do not regret this decision at all, Val. Not even a little bit.

- I wanted to love Anne Rice, but I never really got into her writing style. That being said, Lestat is still my favorite.
- BOO DUBBING. Why don't they just give you Italian subtitles? Wouldn't that be preferable?
- Your classes are intimidating me right now. They sound all shiny and advanced and such. WEB TECHNOLOGY. Which I'm guessing has nothing to do with Spider Man, but...it totally should.
- PASTA IS MY LIFE. I LOVE PASTA. I'm not super adventurous when it comes to the types of pasta I eat, but I freaking love the kinds that I do. But, eh, as long as there's no fish involved or spaghetti, I'd probably try anything.
- Haha, I love how it was fanfic that pulled you into the fandom. That's awesome. HAVE YOU READ ANYTHING AWESOME THAT I HAVEN'T READ YET?

Of course it would, but they just don't get it. And it also means that we don't get to see tv shows when they're aired in UK or USA, but at least a month later - when we're VERY lucky. No wonder why I don't watch tv, and prefer streaming and other not-so-legal means, right?

- Haha, you shouldn't be! Our classes always sound like super-crazy stuff, but they're not that hard, really. I had Automation and Robotics Technology the last semester, and it was actually about engines! Deceiving names, aren't they?

- Haha, spaghetti is not my favourite kind of pasta either, but they can be pretty good with the right sort of sauce. Which are your favourites though? I'm curious! <3

- Hardly! I've been following your list and then the recs of that tumblr you linked me, which is pretty awesome. Oh, and yesterday I read Parallel - I know you didn't like it much, but I was tempted by their rec and I enjoyed it a lot, in the end.

- Man, that's my main argument in favor oh the less than legal means. It let's you reach a broader fanbase. I honestly don't see how companies don't comprehend this stuff.

- Wow, they are! Haha! I'm used to straight forward stuff. but I am an English major so that might be why...O.O

- Penne is my absolute favorite. I love it in anything. Cold and in salad. In any type of red sauce. In any type of cheese sauce. With spinach. With chicken or mince. Whatever. I just love penne. Oh and this local cafe does bacon and chilli penne which is amazing and makes my mouth feel like it is one fire and I love it. Linguine is also a favorite of mine (er, for some reason flattened spaghetti doesn't taste the same as regular spaghetti. Sort of the same way angel hair doesn't taste the same as full size spaghetti. My taste buds; they are weird). My mom does this great tomato and basil sauce with mince that is to die for with linguine. And our store sells "bow tie" pasta which...is basically ravioli only instead of pockets, they are shaped like bow ( ... )

Awwwww, penne! And ravioli! I've just had ravioli with pesto (= sauce of crushed basil, pine nuts, garlic, cheese and olive oil) and tomato sauce for lunch! Stuffed pasta is my favourite kind, to be honest. Have you ever eaten cappelletti/tortellini? It's like ravioli, but instead of spinach and cheese it's stuffed with mince. Veeeery good stuff.
And of course fettuccine doesn't taste like spaghetti and ugh! angel hair, why does such thing even exist in the first place. I hate it, tbh. And pappardelle, it's like fettuccine but even wider and kind of coarse - it's glorious, really.
I also like fusilli a lot, and farfalloni is quite good but we don't eat farfalloni much because my mother doesn't like that kind of pasta.
And LASAGNA OMG I COULD WRITE A POEM ABOUT LASAGNA.

WORKING ON IT. I've actually made 3 icons I'm quite happy with and one that won't end up in the set unless I've got nothing else to replace it. And guess which caps I'm working on? ♥

And now that I know that you and Jess support me, nothing is going to stop me! <3333
