So...can someone explain to me just why texting is so damned addictive? Is it because it's less intrusive than making an actual phone call ( Read more... )

I guess i just don't have an addictive personality then. I hate texting, and it takes me soooooo long to send one. I'm too old for it. I prefer to send emails rather than make a call, though.

I have the same thing happen with me to the point where I will be caving and buying unlimited texting. people just text more often...probably because they don't want to "interrupt" what the other person is doing.

Personally, I would rather hear an actual voice.

Texting is easier if you just want to leave a message, or randomly wish people *good vibes*.

Sorry I don't reply to your texts--I am slow at sending them, and it costs me to send them (but free to receive).

Texting or SMS'ing has been "in" over here since 1998 (that's when I got my first cellphone with sms capabilities) Most people text as it's WAY cheaper than making a phone call, the message is clear and you don't have to worry about stupid chit chat like "Hello how are you, fine you? thanks, say hello to your wife blah blah blah oh and BTW bla blah blah"

Just plain and simple; "I'll pick you up at 9" FullSTop
