Tim's Amazing Race Lives On!

A few summers ago I put together an extensive internet-based "reality TV game show" over at Toon Zone called The Amazing Race: Toon Zone. It went well but for many it proved too hard, frustrating, and just plain too time consuming. As such, the plug was pulled about halfway through - which I don't like doing, cuz I never like leaving something ( Read more... )

I think it would be sweet if you married her and then you both wound up going on the show, very cool - not to mention romantic and something just for you two!

Of course make sure not too many fights happen on the show, lol. Some of the lovers spats freak me out! Then again, I suppose it's au natural, if it wasn't then wouldn't that mean there is nothing there between the two people?

I hope you both have a fantastic and wickedly delicious Valentines Day!

We both love to travel - but we both have to be American (and live in the US, or at least have an address there) so we can apply. It's a bit bogus - why can people from other nations show up on "smaller" American game shows like Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, or the Price is Right, yet when it comes to shows with big prizes (Survivor, Amazing Race, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, Deal or No Deal, etc) you can only be from the US - and usually only the lower 48 states, at that. I think it must be a tax-related thing, that's all.

Our V-Day will be wickedly delicious. Like strawberries!

Ewww, I didn't know they had those rules!

That really sucks :( Greedy bastards! I bet it has something to do with the tax laws in the US.

I've never read an official rule for that but I think so. In the US you need to claim any winnings for your income taxes, and I know in Canada you don't have to...and I'm sure that winning a million dollar prize would create some ugly governmental loophole to deal with, so I bet that's a reason why.

I'd gladly take a pay cut just to participate!
