About two weeks ago, I settled on the date I'll be leaving Shell forever: September 28, 2006. Good stuff. That gives me (hopefully) four months to fool around and get paid (EI) before I officially resign (as far as the government is concerned ( Read more... )

Well if we hit up Europe, I figured we'd drive to Ohio (where my sis is), and could also see your family in Porkopolis on the way. :)

I am definitely up for meeting with you and Katerina :) (Granted I will be nervous) I am more than sure I can spare a couple hours away from my school / work schedule to show you the wonderful city of Edmonton.

Will you guys be on a budget or is cost not an object ? I more likely will be on a budget due to being in school.

do you think planning trips way ahead of time is a smart idea to do with someone you just met? sorry dood but no matter how much you love her now, the future is always a question mark, and sometimes planning so far in advance ruins the present (not trying to be negative or anything)

This is true - but the only one definitely involving her right now is the Alberta one. Anything else features either family or people I've known for years and years.

Though, I have gone on trips with people I've just met (but known for a while online); I met a girl named Jen in Long Beach and hung at her house for five days, met Katia in Mexico City for 10 days (and am looking forward to round two), and got along with Lori great - even if it was just as friends - earlier this year for 10 days as well. I'd expect Katerina to be similar, if not better.

Again, no pressure. It'd just be a lot of fun!

well when you met those girls you were on their turf, you didn't bring them with you right? so its not the same kind of planning..you're still in the honeymoon stage right now, and even in Nov which is 4 months from now, things change a lot..so just be careful

I'm excited and all, but believe me, I've got my head firmly planted on my shoulders.

In Lori's case though, I met her on her turf, then brought her to mine.
