I have noticed an appauling amount of Anti-Australian sentiment within my journal recently. Which is fine and most of it is fair, however I don't want to give anyone any negative impressions, everyone should make up their own minds about this convict colony. I have shown you the bad and the ugly.... now its time for the good.

The definitive, cyncially-devoid list of things I like about Australia and what it has produced... )

OK, uh, good things about Australia ... uhhh ...
1. Someone to beat in the rugby - and whatever other sport you like.
Geez, this is hard.
2. My girlfriend's mother.
Uhhh ... hmm ...
3. The Gold Coast's climate is good for my asthma (but terrible for the rest of my health)
4. Cool trains, including the Garratt steam locomotive
5. Melbourne's trams
6. Melbourne in general
Uhh ... nah, I don't think I've got much more. This pathetic convict continent can fall into the sea for all I care, or at least the Gold Coast can. I used to like Australia enough, but in the last couple of years, I've really turned against it.

She is a die-hard Warriors supporter, AB's, Black Caps. Thinks Flem is ace, is distraught Stacey Jones is playing his last game at home tommorow. She acts very NZ as well - as much as the four other members of the family (who are all Kiwi's)... so she is a convert.
I wanted to dissolve into that Pavlova, Rusell Crowe, Phar Lap discussion but I tried to keep it slightly up-beat. :)
Maybe for the next post I should do a list of New Zealand... how many cuts will I need to use then??

Ah, good ol' Russ. For all I care, Russell Crowe is an Australian. I can't stand the man and I'm quite happy for Australia to take him.
I really don't think I could take being an Australian. Heck, they even needed a Kiwi to run their great Snowy Mountains river project thingamajig. What do they have to be proud of? A totally barren continent that isn't much good to anyone? The fact Kiwis waltz over here and take money from them? You know, sometimes I surprise even myself with anti-Australian sentiment. It used to be joking but I'm not so sure any more.
A list for New Zealand may just require an entire book.

Have you listened to the boot at all? I don't knock off until 5:00... can't hardly wait. If you hear anyone yelling out "Choooocie!" or "Chocolate Cake!!!!" that would be mua. It should be somewhere in the final 3rd. ;)
