Google Disappointment

Is it just me, or do other people experience this as well? It seems to me that Google doesn't work as well as it used to when it comes to finding what I'm looking for. It still does fine, and produces predictable results, when I search for basic things like historical figures, places or definitions (though I still prefer Onelook.com for that). ( Read more... )

I think I've noticed the same thing.

Also, I've noticed that its habit of searching for similar words as well is TOTALLY AWFUL. I wanted to search for information about sdelete, a windows utility. It showed me completely unrelated found pages with "remove" bolded as if it was one of my search terms. WTF.

I assume you've looked at the basic google search operators (http://www.google.ca/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?answer=136861)

I knew most of those search operators, but the +-sign will be very useful. Thank you!
