It hadn't been hard to decide on a place to meet - the Thames was the easiest choice - and after walking at a normal, crisp pace for several feet she couldn't contain herself anymore. A breeze caught her hair and whipped it about her face, and then Rose broke into a run. She could see the outline of his silhouette - there was no mistaking him - and euphoria was bubbling up in her throat.
She'd never thought she'd see him again, and now...

A voice in the back of his mind was telling him that this wasn't a good idea - but today of all days, he wasn't going to listen to it. Wearing a grin that was wide enough to split his face apart, he opened his arms for a hug when she reached him.

Turning her head, Rose buried her face into the familiar curve of his neck and shoulder and held on as tight as her embrace would allow. It was almost greater than any words at that point could hope to be.
