Your words move me with the picture you paint, for you see, I am in the shoes of your friend Ace.

Forever is a dream to so many humans, but I watch my friend face it, with the growing certainty that he will soon walk it alone, and I find I grow more careful with myself, so as to give him every moment I can.

That's thoughtful and selfless of you. Many of those who are given such interminable lives are without such friends. I've been fortunate enough myself to have those with me who put the happiness of others above their own, who seek a way to give comfort, even if such comfort must come incrementally, over many years.

Sometimes I don't know how much they've done for me until my own life has moved beyond them.

It certainly has its pitfalls. I particularly loathe leaving behind the ones I love, because of age. I would be remiss if I didn't say there were times I've contemplated ways I might keep you with me, Ace.

Thanks! I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with him. I just had this idea of a conversation between Seven and a young child, and this was the result. At the moment, it's a bit ambiguous, even to me.
