christianity definitely takes the cake for advertising. i haven't been on 95 in ..probably a year. i've seen judaism making appearances in other small places though. and buddhism? i don't think it needs to actively advertise with all these books, health stores, day spas, gift shops, the outburst of yoga and meditation and 6 inch zen gardens, etc.
is there anything that isn't a business these days?
i think there should be a limit on the amount of advertising any organization/store can do. ideally i'd like to see advertising purely up to the consumer seeking it out - television channels of just commercials, magazines consisting of full page ads [isn't that what 'elle' is? or do they try to pass it off as a fasion magazine?], stuff like that.. but eh. i'm still too in touch with reality to know that's not likely.
i'm not a big fan of the news. i try not to watch it. ocassionally i am caught by surprise and sucked into a story or two. and i can't wait to escape it.
