Nothing except being an irritation I couldn't escape. We managed not to kill or even maim each other. It was just rather more...closeness than I'm comfortable with having with a potentially hostile near-stranger.

It's not much of a trick if you warn me in advance. [No comment on his ability to bring out the hostile. He knows he can be a bit...snippy with people he doesn't know well. And people he does know well, too, for that matter.]

I've observed that he does appreciate games. He plays them with Braxiatel often enough. And by our third day together, endless games of Thud with increasingly inventive variations kept us from murdering each other.
