Bought yet another butterfly-patterned shirt from H&M. This is my third. But, in my defense, it is strawberry milkshake pink, and was clearly the color they had in mind when originally designing the shirt. I feel very proud- haven’t bought a black v-neck in months

oh Fiona. oh that's not cool. although, erm, was page 200 towards the end for your copy? I ask because the version I read (unabridged) was at least 800 pages long, so when you say "you thought you might as well" it makes a lot more sense to me, if you only had 50 pages to go. I enjoyed that book very much. lots and lots of deep-laid and torturously carried out plans for revenge. all the prison break and adventure stuff gets over with fairly quickly!
your Peter Pan trauma this summer sounds pretty awful. I feel bad - I've never had anything like it on all my trips from South Station to Hartford (which is, admittedly, a shorter trip). I am prone to bus-sickness so I think serious suffering would commence should I get stuck on a bus with the air broke down. *grimace*
The Dark Knight and Brideshead Revisited are both on my still want to see and haven't ( ... )

I will find a better, unabridged translation at some point and savor the deep-laid revenge.
I haven't read the Twilight books- although what with all the entertaining fallout from the fourth one, I kind of want to now. cleolinda (author of Movies in 15 Minues) has some hilarious summaries that I've been following, plus icons.
You and I both know that I cannot resist the sparkly vampires forever. It's only a matter of time.

isn't it bizarre? I haven't seen it firsthand, just heard reports from my reading list, but fans can get so ... fannish. XD
my version of The Count of Monte Cristo didn't have commentary either. now I'm curious to go back to the library and try and figure out which translation I read, because I don't think I wrote that down.
