ETA: should add that after clicking on three of the links above (to Checkers and Paper Promises), a very nasty piece of ransomeware called Antivirus Soft installed itself on my computer and I spent all afternoon removing it.
I suspect I must have picked it up on one of those sites.
It wasn't a virus as such, just one of those annoying things that tries to scare you into buying some useless piece of software. It was pretty aggressive - official looking Windows-type boxes started popping up almost immediately telling me all these files were infected.
I knew there was something off about it, though, as the English wasn't quite right. Anyway, if your computer had it, I think you would know by now, so maybe it didn't come from any of those sites after all. It's just it happened right after I clicked on one of the links.
Seriously, though, Sinister Attraction has stories I thought were gone forever. It's a treasure trove of goodies, although, as with every archive, there's a fair amount of awful stuff, too.

I know what you mean. The flow of good new stories is shrinking to a trickle. It's no hardship to revisit some of the classics, though.
