The cyberwoman needed Ianto, she had to manipulate him to help her. Poor Ianto didn't know enough about Cybermen to understsnd that she was already gone, but it has to be a shock to be confronted with the truth. Poor Ianto.

He needed to get that sorted in his head though to enable him to move on. He had to know that Lisa didn't kill Dr Tanazaki and Annie the pizza girl. Lisa wasn't a murderer and neither was Jack (at least on this occasion, but Ianto doesn't need to go into that right now). Jack and the team killed the cyberwoman. Lisa was already long gone.
