omg, your Ianto seems to channel my phobias!

Spiders I have learned to cope with (generally so I can laugh at my students when the inevitable hysteria sets in). I'll calmly catch it in a cup I keep on hand specially and chuck it out the window.

Tentacally things, however, freak me right out. I blame seeing The Little Mermaid at the cinema at the age of four. Ursula has scarred me for life. Octopi, squid, Jack's sex stories... I'm right there with Ianto. And there is no way I could ever bring myself to try calamari.

Hi.
I'm sorry I didn't reply before - I've no idea why I didn't see your comment at the time you left it. I only saw it now because I received another comment on the fic today and when I went to look at that I saw yours too. I bet you've forgotten reading the fic and leaving the comment by now!

Thank you for reading. I'm pleased you can identify with poor old Ianto. I hate spiders too. I only deal with them (hysterically) if I absolutely have to and there is nobody else around to do it.

I haven't seen the little mermaid - but googling it now I can see why that could be freaky for a four year old!

Poor Ianto, I can't really blame him. I made my hubby gargle with a bottle of Listerine after he ate calimari and then tried to kiss me as a joke afterwards; my reaction, though, came from studying the alimentary system (I'm an ex-nurse) and those damn suckers reminded me of something else...

But if the boys don't like spiders, I hope they don't run into centipedes or thousand-leggers; my building seems to have them right now and I've already killed 2 large ones (my friend's 3 yr old nephew calls them 'wall mustaches'). A really good drabble :D

I've never tried calamari, but it really doesn't appeal!

Hehe - wall moustaches! I love that :-)
I'm really not good with insects and creepy crawlies of any kind *shudders*

Thank you for reading - I'm pleased you enjoyed it.
