*EG* I'd always wondered if Sam would do something like that. Now all he'll have to do is place a long-running bet with Gene that there'll be a woman prime minister by the end of the decade!

Seeing in what kind of place he lives, you'd think he would consider to cash in on his future knowledge =P If he was more musical, he could pull a McFly and play songs before they're written.
Exactly, Gene would never believe it on beforehand anyway.

I've got an Abba medley going on in my head thanks to that CD in the car, so I wanted to shift that curse to other people, muahaha. It's like vampirism but with more glitter. Oh, wait...

This was so much FUN. Caused a complete earworm, though: I had the lyrics of "Waterloo" going through my head throughout. Not a bad song for Sam in 1973, though, is it?

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, I know the feeling... I just spent 45 minutes listening to 'the best of Abba' in that car... it's even worse, I got a medley of random Abba songs going on in my head.

Hahah! Ah, perhaps I could try. Unfortunately I wasn't around yet to see it myself, but anyway, it would be mostly Gene and Sam banter instead of an accurate report of that particular Festival. I remember watching some myself, it was pretty big/important in Belgium. I liked watching as a kid, but it was always kinda corny ;P I'll have to think about it. And try not to get too racist with Gene's comments... well, race, more like country-ist. He hates the French, probably the Germans too, and I don't think he'll hold much love to other countries.

Really? That's interesting. Ah, yes, I seem to recall that QI episode now that I think about it. It is a 'general ignorance' thing then. Perhaps it was just something that people that disliked him came up with... and he had a lot of enemies at that time and afterwards. Funny that.
