Following the incident in the kitchen, Romana had hidden away for a bit...partly to clear her head as well as to defuse a bit from all of confusing romantic entanglements she'd managed to become enmeshed in, lately. The Doctor had discovered Bob Ross's Joy of Painting. Since they were still running on reduced power in order to fuel Romana's TARDIS, there was no reason to try to push the craft elsewhere, so, pop culture became an excellent pasttime.

And Bob Ross had to be an alien. The Doctor just couldn't seem to figure out which one.

At the sound of someone in the console room, he turned his head 'round and felt his face involuntarily redden.

"Ah, hello, Romana."

Romana's cheeks flushed at the same time, and she briefly glanced down. "Hullo Doctor -- I was able to bring the lights up inside my ship without trouble, and I thought this might be a good opportunity to take stock of the damage."

She continued in the direction of the Doctor's control console. "And, ah...I suppose I also owe apologies and explanations."

"No apologies necessary," he replied, turning his eyes back to Bob Ross, "Offering up power is what any friend would do for another friend."

No, he wasn't hurt and bitter or anything. Ooooh, but he'd been with humans for far too long. It was starting to bleed.

"True," Romana replied. She looked over some of the readouts with a practiced eye, glancing back at the topiary bush, then looking at another panel.

"And a friend admits when she's bolloxed things up, too. Best of intentions turning into a spanner in the works."
