Characters: Gabranth, Refia and Rikku Progress: Ongoing Summary: Memories Location: Memoria Date: February 1st, 1804 Warnings: Gabranth might want to strangle one of the girls by the end of this
One of the young girls had pulled the hood of her robe over her head as the light flashed - whether she needed it or not, the white mage robe was warm and free, so she'd foregone acquiring a coat in favor of other much-needed supplies. Perhaps having a healer around would be something of a comfort, in case things got strange.
But for the moment Refia was peeking out from under that hood, barely looking at her surroundings with one eye just in case that light was flashing still. When it wasn't, she slowly let the hood drop and nearly gasped - for just a moment, a very brief moment, this place had reminded her of home. But the image faded quickly as she found differences between this place and any city or kingdom from home, and her expression quickly fell as she came to the realization that she hadn't gone home after all.
Rikku was not dressed for the weather of Gaia, but then...she never was. She was in her standard bikini-and-skirt and sleeves combo, though she had cut it herself from local garbs so at least the colors were Gaian. She'd been lucky she was even wearing shoes when the flash came, considering she'd been in her room at the inn.
Swirling eyes swished this way and that as she looked around at where they were, taking in the two people she didn't recognize, the location she didn't recognize...nothing at all was familiar.
"Okay, what's going on?" She decided to point the question at the large, imposing man, simply because he was the tallest person there. And the other girl was obviously as puzzled as she was.
"My apologies, I am unsure of how, but we appear to be in my birthland... yet it was destroyed long ago..." Gabranth shook his head slightly, but, and in the most natural way, a grin appeared on his face as a blonde boy with bright eyes and long hair that was swept back came running towards him.
Snatching hold of his hand, Noah laugh, crouching down beside his twin, hiding against a tree and peeking out to look up towards the rest of the garden area.
"Shh, Noah! He will find us if you keep making noise!" Basch's words caused him to snicker.
"Why do you always find such amusement in running away from our tutor, brother?" Shaking his head at his twin, gasping as he saw a man with a bow. Their archery tutor. "Basch! There he is! Quickly, we must hide!"
Refia just had to blink at the sudden grin spreading on the tall man's face - that was somehow just very disconcerting. She could only stare at him as he... started behaving very oddly, speaking to thin air and in general just looking far more like a lunatic than anyone wearing armor should look.
"Basch? Who's Basch?" And Refia glanced at the other girl quickly, obviously not knowing quite how to cope with this new development. "I don't know who you are, but there's no one here!"
A little warily, she edged closer to Rikku, who at least looked as confused as she was. "What's wrong with him?"
