Characters: Cloud and Tidus Progress: Ongoing Summary: So Cloud sounds crazy. Tidus is skeptical, but he'll listen. Location: Lindblum Date: January, 1804 Warnings: Likely nothing with these two
Cloud had actually arrived earlier. He'd seen Shelke and Zack off at the Lindblum Royal Palace and headed right back out without stopping to speak with anyone. Not even Tifa or Denzel.
This was perhaps a little more important. Shelke would relay any messages Denzel hadn't already and he'd fill her in on anything else once he was back.
Sunglasses in place, both swords crossed on his back, Cloud made his way towards Tidus, looking at the slightly taller man with fractionally nostalgic eyes at first. It was weird to see him and not have that bond of friendship he had grown with everyone over the events of the Void. It had felt the same with Squall but he wouldn't voice it.
Removing the shades, he looked at Tidus with glowing mako eyes. "Tidus."
That blue sword Tidus had at his own back probably didn't help the nostalgia, either. But he turned around when Cloud said his name, that cheerful friendliness that usually carried him around totally lost for the moment, considering the severity of this discussion. "So where d'you wanna go?"
Frowning as he put the glasses away, he eyed the city for a moment. "The inn?" Although it was a suggestion, the older (natural) blonde set off towards it without a word, holding the door for Tidus once they arrived.
He knew how badly this could go. He knew he could totally alienate the Blitzer but this was damn important.
As long as it was a different inn from the one he was currently living at. That... was a whole other can of worms.
But, fortunately, it was, and so Tidus didn't have to deal with angry innkeepers. He followed Cloud in and, while he normally wouldn't care where they sat, this time he went right for the table in the far corner. He wouldn't be getting a drink, either - he never drank.
But he waited for Cloud to sit down before asking the obvious question. "So what's this whole thing you're talking about?"
