Characters: Balthier and Fran Progress: Complete Summary: A pitstop on the way to fetch Vaan has brilliant results. Location: Port City Warjilis Date: January, 1804 Warnings: Pirates?
The Port City Warjilis. It seemed like quite the merchant city. Balthier was right, speed was of vital importance. While she believed her older sister was still residing in the Shumi Village and that she truly wouldn't let Vaan freeze to death, there was always that possibility.
Sailors and merchants lined the streets as Fran followed Balthier off of the Decadance. "You get the fuel while I stock up on supplies." With that, she was already walking off to purchase what they needed.
Giving a slight nod, Balthier turned towards where the fuel was being sold, his eyes scanning every part of the Port. It was nice here; pleasant in its own way and oddly similar to those places in Ivalice.
Making his way to where the airships were docked, Balthier began bargaining with the merchant for fuel. It wasn't long before he had a decent price for a large amount of fuel, and informed the man's assistants of where the Decadance was.
As he wandered the area idly, simply taking in the Port sounds, a hubbub intrigued him. Words upon an odd airship... an airship that was brightly coloured and ran on unknown technology.
Pulling his skyphone out, Balthier quickly made a text message to Fran, giving her "Captain's Orders" to make her way to the airship dock as soon as possible.
Fran pulled out her skyphone, checking the text message. She frowned a little, 'Captain's Orders' were usually a bad sign. Pocketing her skyphone again she took the bag of supplies she had managed to purchase, before heading back in the direction she came from.
It didn't take her long to track down her partner, resting her hand upon his shoulder as she reached his side. "What is the matter, Captain?"
"A rumour. We've to discover its origins." Striding towards where most of the noise was coming from, he spoke to the woman at his side discreetly.
"Word has it that an airship with a unique mode of power and an even more interesting paintjob has been spotted around here." Of course, if there was an airship that was better than the Decadance around, or one that could be taken apart to improve the Decadance, then they'd simply have to have it.
Eying the area, Balthier led Fran through the hangar-like airship dock.
