The process of waking for Vaan was akin to being dragged up from the depths of hell itself. His head throbbed, and it was the sinking, panicky feeling of being buried under something that quickly had Vaan's adrenaline pumping. There was pressure surrounding him, on top of his body, and he grunted and inhaled copious amounts of dust before he realized what he was buried under. Books? he wondered hastily, throwing them off of him and to the distance.

He was panting by the time he emerged, a heap of books surrounding him and a large bookshelf toppled nearby. Around Vaan, it was dim, with flickering candlelight and the constant lingering scent of dust. He coughed, more out of the windedness than the smell. Living underground in Lowtown for years had Vaan nearly immune to any dusty smell and dank corners.

What was going on? Was he back in Ivalice? Why did this keep happening?!

Vaan stood, legs shaking, and wiped sweat from his forehead. "H'lo?" he muttered. "Anyone here?"

I'm still on hiatus, so tags will be slow, just so you all know~ artemistardust November 2 2009, 01:52:53 UTC
Rosa had gone to sleep feeling groggy. She'd woken up feeling worse if at all possible. Her whole body ached and she burned off a low-level healing to make it feel better so she could move...

And she promptly realized she wasn't anywhere in Alexandria. Her first action had been to check her communicator and once that was done, she stood up and began to look around. It wasn't long before she noticed someone else who looked to be in a similar situation. She hurried over and made quick work of another couple of healing spells on him to make sure he could stand.

"Are you all right?"

Checking the communicator hadn't even occurred to Ingus. He still wasn't accustomed to even having the thing, the idea would pop into his mind later, undoubtedly.

He continued to wander between the tall shelves cautiously, until the sound of voices echoing in the massive room caught his ears. So, he wasn't alone at least!

As swiftly as possible he made his way toward the voices. "Hail!" Ingus called, in an attempt to get their attention. This place echoed far too much.
