Characters: Larsa, Penelo and Mjrn Progress: In Progress Summary: A dancer and a dragoon go to meet an emperor Location: Lindblum, Business District Date: April 9, 1805 Warnings: Larsa's irresistible charm?
Mjrn, having just disembarked from her own journey, glanced around Lindblum as she made her way to the designated area. Memories of the hunt and Lucavi -as well as her own failure- came to mind, though she did her best to stifle them. Now was not the time to dwell on the past, but enjoy the present. First Larsa and Penelo...then Blank.
A smile came to her lips at that plan, though it soon faded as she had to cope with the downside of sensitive hearing. Wherever she had been during her months away, it certainly hadn't been anywhere this crowded. Adjusting to the din would take some time, but until then she tried not to let the strain show. A dragoon was better than that, after all.
As she approached the fountain, Mjrn perked up. "Penelo!" She waved to get the dancer's attention, if her long ears hadn't done that already.
As soon as the dancer spotted Mjrn, she delivered a quick hug to her friend. Penelo had a fair idea why the Viera would have come to Lindblum and it was not necessarily for Larsa's sake. A tiny smile touched her lips and she was just about to tease when the little emperor's voice broke out over the crowd.
For a split second, she hesitated. So much had passed between them, especially that heated argument about Gabranth. The man still frightened her. No, this time would be different, she was sure of it. He was different.
She immediately closed in the distance between them, and while mindful of the tiny bird, still pulled Larsa into a tight hug. Forget propriety and class difference. "It's so good to see you, Larsa."
Mjrn hugged Penelo in return, then smiled as her friend went to hug Larsa. She, too, couldn't help but recall Larsa's previous stay in Gaia and how that affected Penelo, yet felt that it was best to move on from such memories. To do otherwise would be unfair to Larsa, who could not recall them. He deserved a fresh start...as much as that was possible, at any rate.
The Viera nodded in full agreement with her dancer friend, hands clasped before her. "Aye, it is." She stepped forward, not expecting a hug like Penelo, though if Larsa wanted to pass on the bird to her for a moment and give his full attention to her friend, she wouldn't mind.
