Terra was about to ask Basch about their location, when he was swept up into his memory. Oh, well. Too late. She hung back and expected not to see anything, as before. Still, there was nothing else to do but watch and listen. Even if she couldn't see the memory in full, she could still learn...though that felt akin to peeping. She glanced over to Cecil, wondering if he felt the same.
Cecil looked around at the estate with wonder. For all the castles and palaces he'd seen on his journeys, he'd seen few so grand or beautiful as this. "Ivalice..." The name was familiar. "Marquis Ondore hails from this world, I believe."
Before he could recieve any confirmation, though, the Captain had already been caught in another memory. Basch had a brother? Though he could not see most of it either, the memory instantly held his attention, and he was too interested in watching to return Terra's glance.
"I will rest no longer, Basch. Prolonged rest renders a man weak. I refuse such."
Far be it for Basch to argue with his brother. He shook his head. "Then I must insist that you ease yourself into your duties, and not push yourself. Your wounds were far too grievous for you."
Gabranth smiled lightly at his brother, moving to step around. He raised his hand to clasp Basch's shoulder. "You worry too much, brother. Ease your mind."
"I worry enough, for you do not."
The memory ended with a fond smile from both brothers, and Gabranth vanished from Basch's sight.
Terra's gaze soon turned back to the vision, anyway. The fond smile provoked one of her own, though that faded as their companion seemed to rouse from that memory.
"...Basch?" Her voice was gentle, that one word asking if he was alright...or would be. She wasn't sure whether or not it was her place to ask anything else, but pleasant memories could be just as painful as tragic ones, when it came to people lost.
