True to his word, Cecil arrived in the Tomb with Ceodore in tow as quickly as they could. Whichever point in time she was from, whatever she remembered of being here before or not, none of that concerned him. His only thought right now was a single-minded drive to find her, and to make sure she was safe. But it readily became apparent that this was not going to be a simple matter of moving from point A to point B; the entrance passage immediately presented them with a three-way fork of paths, each near identical.

"Stay on guard and do not stray away, Ceodore. In a maze like this, no doubt there are monsters everywhere."

Not that he thought Ceodore would run off without a second thought, but the boy was prone to overeagerness, especially so if it would mean finding his mother. Before choosing a path, Cecil took out his Sky Phone and called Rosa.

"We're at the entrance, Rosa. Can you describe where you are?"

Ceodore nodded in obedience to his father's request, not realizing it was a preventative measure to keep him from racing ahead. For all his impulsive ways, he really was an obedient child and far too eager to please. He was rather desperate to find his mother, however and the inside of this resting place struck him as a horrid place to have to wait.

Eying all the directions, he pointed off to the right. "We can try that way."

The Sky Phone in her hand rang again and Rosa immediately picked it up. "Cecil?" At his request, she glanced around again, trying to see as much of the room as she could. "There's a water wheel in the room with me, and behind it I can see across the land. I see chains next to it. Beyond that... The corridor looks dark ahead. And straight. I don't think anyone's been here for a very long time."

"A room with a water wheel?" He sounded puzzled. What would a tomb need that for? "...Understood. Just sit tight and wait for us." He ended the call, then addressed Ceodore. "Yes, let's try right. Wherever Rosa is, it seems she's in a room by the outside of the tomb, not deep within it. We'll skirt the edges and check whatever rooms we come across."

And if they got too horribly lost, there was always Sight. For now, though, they probably wouldn't need it. Cecil lead the way right, one hand resting on his sword, on sharp lookout for monsters. He wasn't too worried for Ceodore, even if this was the first time -- to his memory -- they'd ventured anything more dangerous than sparring together. Unlike Rosa, he wasn't going to coddle or fret over his son, least of all when he was here to protect him.

After a bend, they were met with another three-way intersection of passages. Left would be backtracking, so it was either straight ahead or right again. "I've a feeling the passages in this place are all identical..."
