Vincent had been to Figaro before, during one of his periods of wandering on Gaia, and he had been to the desert that surrounded Corel on his own world. It meant that he was more prepared for the desert heat than Rishfee was, since he had needed to deal with it before. It did not, however, mean that he enjoyed it any more. The heat was uncomfortable, with his dark clothing and heavy cloak, and it was brighter than he preferred. He was, quite frankly, eager to get the hunt over with, so that they could leave the desert for a more comfortable area ( ... )

He responded evenly- deciding to make a few preparations of his own. Namely enhancing blue magic in the form of a haste effect for the both of them, and added defense. Vincent paid close attention to Rishfee’s warnings and strategy, nodding occasionally as he did. He had seen Rishfee doing blue magic before as well, so that did not startle him, and he simply stood patiently and waited for the other to finish. The apprehension was not gone, of course, but he wasn’t about to turn away from the fight, either on his own or by telling Rishfee to give up as well. He had faced strong opponents before, and he could do it again. He was not about to leave Rishfee to face this on his own ( ... )
