Eiko was used to the night sky. Two moons, lots of stars. If her village hadn't been leveled before she was born, she would have been educated about the stars and their place in the dance of nature. Unfortunately, most of her summoner's heritage was lost to her, save what little could be found in books or she'd learned orally from her grandfather. But he too was lost when she was only five and much of what he'd taught her was being lost to the press of time.

But, she was an observant little thing and when Rishfee slipped away, Eiko noticed. What little stability and normalcy that had been inflicted on her since her adoption went out the window with the chaos of a baby being born in the castle. "Rishfee?" she called out. "Where are you going?" She pattered behind him, trying to catch up.
