Pre-Meeting Mingling

[This is a thread for mingling! Before the meeting, roam around and talk to any others you'd like to.]

[Celes is nervous about this meeting. She knows well what it's about and what Edgar will expect of her, but she can't help wondering what everyone will think of her when she finally comes out with her past. Nor does she know when she'll be talking about it. So, for now, she just takes a seat at one end of the table and waits for Edgar to lead. Her nerves might actually be showing for once. Looks like Locke's had a hand in loosening her up a bit lately.]

[The journey from Warjilis to Figaro had been... quiet. Nothing had happened to ease the concern Ashe felt over her husband's state of mind, whatever troubled him so deeply was still unknown to her. All she could do... was hope the meeting would provide persuasion enough for Rasler to talk and discuss his worries.

No directions had been necessary, not in a castle so familiar as the one they had departed only a short time ago. Scanning the throne room, she caught sight of a rather uncomfortable looking Celes and excused herself, walking toward the seated woman with slow, measured steps; little Shain asleep, secure and snug within the wrap worn by his mother.]

[Celes glanced up as she noticed Ashe moving forward, a small smile crossing her face. It was definitely nice to see a friendly face around.]

Ashelia... Good to see you again.

Lucavi

I'd like to turn our attention to what seems to be the most immediate threat - the demons of auricite stones known as Lucavi. There are currently two known to be in the world and a third has been vanquished, but there is the possibility for as many as five more with the stones we've yet to recover. Would anyone from Ivalice be willing to describe these beasts in greater detail?

[Ramza nods.]

I shall.

[While Delita has some knowledge regarding the Lucavi, Ramza was the one who vanquished Hashmal and his party back within their homeland. This fact alone gives Ramza superiority in his topic.]

In the ancient tales and fables alike, the Lucavi were claimed to be viscous fiends who hail from the deepest pits of the Netherworld. They are monsters, savage demons who thrives on the agony of others. Such beings seem hail from other realms, but in Ivalican lore...such beings are devils.

How is it that they possess their hosts? There must be some way we can stop this.

Void/Chaos

Several of you have spoken of going to a place known as the "Void," where you battled against many of our worlds' greatest threats. If those of you who were there would please share your stories; I'm unsure of how many of the rest of us have heard a full report. We could use any knowledge on your adversaries that you possess - any clues on how to defeat them and what their schemes are likely to be. You are also the only ones known to have extended conflict with the being known as 'Chaos' - any information you can supply on him would be invaluable.

We were summoned to the Void to fight against the God of discord, Chaos, and his ten warriors. Garland was one of Chaos's warriors, and it is he who is causing so much trouble on this world. He attempts to continue a cycle of chaos.

Chaos himself we defeated, thanks to the power of ten crystals given to us by Cosmos, the Goddess of Harmony.

Yet, if people can be pulled from different times to this world...we might have to face him again. In fact, I'm certain that's why so many of Cosmos' warriors have arrived here.

[She frowns, not eager for that yet resigned to doing whatever they must to defeat him.]

His attacks were many, and powerful. Even with ten of us, defeating him was far from easy. And that's him alone; he had ten warriors also, just like Cosmos.

Not to mention, we had the crystals to help us, last time. This time we won't.

Villains

The list of villains that have appeared from other worlds grows ever longer, and we cannot afford to sit idly waiting for them to show themselves. I would like us to try and find a way to warn the moogles of who the perpetrators are likely to be - as well as knowing them ourselves, and why they are a threat. Beings such as Kefka and Ultimecia have wrought destruction across their homes and Gaia, now, and such actions must not be allowed to continue.

I'm afraid I have little to offer... We have already shared with all of you, all that we know of Kuja, and Garland. It seems, some of you here know them as well, even prior to arriving in Gaia, right?

Them and others who have been as much of a threat as they have. [She's thinking of Kefka, of course, and she tosses a sideways glance at Edgar. Is this the time he wants everyone to use to explain their pasts or is that getting glossed over entirely in favor of Kuja and Garland?]
