[Thread, Open] Let's have a drink!

Summary: Rinoa drags persuades Laguna to meet her - and hopefully, Squall too. She'll make them friends in no time!

Laguna tipped his head back to look up at the sign. This had to be the place, the inn where Rinoa had told him to meet with her. He looked to the door, stepping forward to push it open. A part of him hoped that Squall wouldn't make an appearance, and yet the other hoped he would. All he wanted to do was talk with the guy, but it seemed like Squall carried a great dislike for him, maybe even a grudge. It still surprised Laguna to know that this young fellow was his son, the young man with the indifferent attitude.

Poking his head into the inn, Laguna looked around, and then stepped inside, scratching the back of his neck. He had no idea what this Rinoa girl who knew him as well as the back of her own hand looked like. She knew him but he knew nothing of her. Only that she was his son's lady.

Some of the patrons looked over and he frowned, still looking.

Rinoa, on the other hand, recognised Laguna right away. Sure, he looked younger - and cuter, Selphie had been right about that - but there was no mistaking him.

"Hey, Laguna!"

She leapt up at once, ran over and almost hugged him before stopping herself, remembering that he didn't know her. So instead she held out her hand, grinning brightly.

"It's me, Rinoa! Great to meet you at last!"

Laguna stared down at the young woman in front of him. She certainly was pretty. And there was .. something familiar about her, almost as if he'd already met her.

His eyes dropped to her hand and he reached to take it, but suddenly pulled it back. Not now!

"H- hi! So you're Rinoa- could we sit..?" He made a gesture to his stomach, arm wrapping over it.

Rinoa's brows knitted for a moment when Laguna didn't shake her hand, but then she remembered what she'd heard about Laguna getting stomach cramps in front of cute girls. Aw, poor guy!

She pretended not to notice, her eyes sparkling with humour. "Yep, sure!" And she led him over to the table she'd been sitting at before.

Locke looked up at the sudden screech, watching the bouncing bundle of energy twirl and somehow land near himself. Locke put down his drink before responding, "Is it that late already?" Looking out the window and noticing the nightfall for the first time turns towards whoever this person is grinning, "That was some fancy foot work."

Locke looked towards the other table with a nod of his head, before returning his attention to Selphie with a hint of a smile. "Sounds like something I don't need to worry about..." He then thought to quickly change the subject from the uncomfortable subject with a quick smile and slight rise of his finger. He then replied, "Just got here myself actually. Someone told me this was a good place to frequent, so here I am!"
