He'd been grateful to Rude for footing the bill when his stoic partner insisted he had the funds, promising to repay him as soon as he had the means to do so. It wasn't like either he or Cissnei had an employer like ShinRa here to fund them. He could pick a few pockets here and there, or help out with the reconstruction of Lindblum, but that gil went toward keeping that room at the inn, and food ( ... )

Cissnei held Rekka close in one of her gloved hands. She made a mental note to pay back Rude as soon as she got enough money, whatever the currency was, to pay him back. She didn't like being in debt, even if it was to another Turk.

"There's no need to be so worried, Reno," she said. Even though she was a Turk herself and looked just as pristine as the other two, she was dwarfed by the likes of her comrades. Not that it didn't make her a force to be reckoned with. With some pride, she reminded herself she was the youngest recruit but didn't show it. "Unless you'd like for us to take our ties and hang on to each other."

She scanned the port with a keen eye. Looking out for enemies? Definitely, even if she didn't have any idea what an enemy to the Turks would look like in this world. It could be anyone. Cissnei pocketed one of her hands while waiting for Rude to relay information to them.

"I'm not staying anywhere actually. After the third day of finding myself outside of the room I'd taken and back here I gave up on such things." Rufus replied to Reno casually, as if he'd been standing beside the two men the whole time instead of just coming between them less than a minute ago.

"How long will it take to get out of here and onto our next designation?"

He'd deal with getting actually caught up on the outbound ship. After spending the annoying week here, Rufus was quite sick of this port for the time being. Thus the quicker he could put distance between him and this place, the better in his mind.

To say that Rude had been expecting Rufus to find them might have been a bit of an overstatement, but if the boss' sudden arrival had startled the Turk, he certainly did a good job of hiding as much. In retrospect, Rude probably should have seen that coming. No doubt Rufus had been waiting some time for their flight to arrive. When the President posed a question to the group at large, Rude didn't hesitate to offer up the answer he was sure that Rufus wanted to hear ( ... )
