From the moment she first heard about things repeating, Ellone had worried, fretted even, and she'd stuck to her Sky Phone all the time. She was barely paying attention to anything else as she tried desperately to remember what had happened recently and figure out what was going on right then. She didn't want to worry anyone by suggesting to them what she thought was causing all this until she was sure. The important thing was to find out for sure, even if she really didn't think there was any possible way she was right.

So, she waited in her room, door closed and clutching her Sky Phone as she scanned the posts.

And then she felt something, vaguely familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on what yet. Trying to quell the uneasy feeling, she waited for the day to be over so she could test her power on someone using that day.

And then-

There it was. The connection she needed. The thing she strove for above all else.

The edge of time.

Ultimecia's power wrapped around the timestream like a net with a fish, pulling it in and compressing it thinner and thinner, then pulling it towards herself. She could feel it beginning, ripples and distortions as places, events, and people that shouldn't have ever had contact with each other began to merge, the world beginning to bubble and froth as she wrenched it to her will.

It wasn't as easy as last time, by a long ways. But she could do it - she knew she would do it.

Ultimecia began to laugh in her triumph.

The moment she felt it again, Ellone dropped her Sky Phone. No... It couldn't be. How could she fight this? She couldn't do it alone, could she? But she had to-

Her power... She hadn't used it at all since she'd come here and she didn't know if it would work, but if this was really what she thought it was, she'd need to find out.

Two things happening at once. Or were they all the same thing? Elle was starting to get confused and the more confused she got, the longer she waited. She wondered, vaguely, if it would be possible for Ultimecia, assuming she really was on Gaia, to contact her via their shared time powers. The thought nearly made her sick and she fell to the floor next to her phone.

This couldn't be happening. Not here. Please, not here.

Even with as slippery as time was, Ultimecia was not letting it go so easily. The Sorceress was not going to contact Ellone - she was a tool, a means to an end and nothing else. She had no need of her here, inhabiting the same time and not one far distant. But the Sorceress' power was spread out over the whole of this timestream, and her mark was unmistakable.

She continued pulling, compressing time more and more towards her, though it hadn't yet formed into the single point that was her goal.
